October Dialogue: Finding Hope in a Time of Cynicism

On Tuesday, October 3, from 7 to 9 pm, JIDS will be joining with the American University School of International Service to host a dialogue entitled Finding Hope in a Time of Cynicism: Lessons Learned from Jewish-Muslim Engagement in our Local Communities.  The dialogue will be held in the School of International Service (SIS) Abramson Family Founders Room at American University.  (The SIS building is on Nebraska Avenue, just southwest of the corner of Nebraska and New Mexico.  You may be able to find parking on the street or, alternatively, there is a lot at the Katzen Arts Center on Massachusetts Avenue, just north of Nebraska.)  Light refreshments will be served.

At  this event, a panel of AU chaplains and community leaders will discuss opportunities and challenges in inter-religious engagement, stories from effective Muslim-Jewish collaborations, and recommendations for involvement in bridge building interactions.  We expect an evening of candid conversations that we hope will prove inspirational for one and all.
