November Event – Annual Twinning Youth Social Action plus Dialogue

Several years ago, a group of us got together to figure out what JIDS can do that will have the greatest impact on our community, and the answer was pretty much unanimous – bring our youth together in activities that involve both dialogue and social action.  During the last several years, we have painted a house, worked in a soup kitchen, and more recently brought valuable items to a homeless shelter and cleaned up a public park.  From 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16th, we will be bringing our youth together once again to clean up a park and engage in dialogue.  But this time there’s a twist – the youth will be planning and leading the dialogues.

Information about this event, including the precise location (which is in Black Hill Regional Park in northwest Montgomery County), a registration form, and various other useful facts can be found at  If you are affiliated with a masjid or synagogue or if you participate in an interfaith organization, please spread the word about this event.  We need your youth if this is going to be a success.  So tell your imam/rabbi and your educational director, don’t be shy.  Let’s get our kids together and allow them to talk about what they want to talk about – and do some park cleaning as well.
